The project will enable LOHC imports from Canada to be stored at Evos Amsterdam terminals. The hydrogen will then be released at a new nearby dehydrogenation facility and distributed to end users through a dedicated hydrogen pipeline network.
Both companies are members of the H2A (Hydrogen to Amsterdam) consortium, a hydrogen alliance bringing together industry, government and technology partners to develop large-scale hydrogen import projects in Amsterdam. North Atlantic is developing an end-to-end hydrogen supply chain for the European market, including renewable hydrogen production in Canada and delivery to Europe using LOHC as a transport vector. As the largest tank storage provider in the Port of Amsterdam, Evos provides access to dedicated terminal capacity and large-scale distribution infrastructure. Evos’ two Amsterdam terminals feature deep-sea berths and direct connections, including to Schiphol Airport.
